This year my husband has decided that he would like to get a computer specifically made for gaming. He loves to play video games but many of the ones he likes he cannot find for his PlayStation. He mentioned briefly getting a gaming laptop, but he has decided that that might have to wait for next year. In the meantime, he has found a way to play a game with other players without leaving our home. He will be playing a racing game with my father and my cousin via his PlayStation unit.
He still wants to get a gaming laptop, and we may get one next year. In the meantime, he said he is going to do a lot of research to find out which is the best. There are certain things a gaming laptop should have to make game play better for the eyes and ears. A good game playing laptop will be able to handle high resolution graphics, and should have a very fast processor so that he may keep up if he is playing with other people.
If you have a good gaming laptop, you won't want to play online games unless you have high-speed Internet. If you are playing games with those who have high-speed, and you are using dial-up, you are not going to be able to keep up and you are not going to have any fun. No matter how fast your gaming laptop may be, you will be lagging far behind the other players if your Internet connection cannot keep up. The good news is that the cost of high-speed Internet is coming down and it is far easier for everyone to afford it.
So, while he waits to purchase a gaming laptop he will play through our Internet connection with my dad and my cousin. The PlayStation that he has, has a connector that allows him to play through the Internet, and he is really looking forward to it. Perhaps if he has enough find playing this way, he won't be so worked up about getting a gaming laptop. I don't mind if he gets one, but right now it is not exactly in the budget. I think that if he waits just a few months he will see the prices for gaming laptops go down, while the technology gets better and better. It is one of those things where if you are to wait just a little longer, you'll be getting more for your money anyway.
